In a Bangla-language cover interview with National Times, Rahman Group Chairman S. M. Zillur Rahman said businesspeople expect the new government to move the economy forward by ensuring their security.
He described an economy under pressure from the dollar crisis and political uncertainty, which he said had made businesspeople hesitant to invest, and said the government needs to do more on these issues.
He also discussed falling manpower exports to Malaysia, the dangers of irregular sea routes, and the opportunity for trained Bangladeshi workers in Europe and other developed countries.
